Yelan Escalona
Yelan joined Shullman Fugate in October 2024. Her practice focuses on content, defamation, and intellectual property disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Yelan practiced commercial litigation and business immigration. She represented public and private companies across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, finance, construction, and manufacturing. She also represented clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, trademark infringement, and consumer finance.
During law school, Yelan served as a congressional intern at the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C., and as a judicial intern at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Miami, Florida. She was also an intern and fellow at the University of Miami School of Law’s Investor Rights Clinic, where she represented underserved investors in FINRA arbitration.
