Shullman Fugate is pleased to announce the addition of a new associate attorney, James M. Slater, to our team.
Prior to joining the firm, James was in private practice in South Florida where he focused his practice on intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation. In addition to being an experienced intellectual property practitioner, James also brings a wealth of transactional and compliance experience to the firm, including in software and brand licensing, trademark registration, publishing, entertainment, and data privacy and security matters. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), James’ expertise in the ever-changing world of data privacy regulation will enhance Shullman Fugate’s ability to address clients’ needs in this developing field.
James received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami. He completed his Master’s degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
